Digital listening continues to expand

Listening to radio via a digital device continues to grow with the number of national digital stations available on DAB/DAB+ expanding to more than 50. The number of national commercial stations has grown to 46, with recent new station launches including Boom Radio, Union JACK Dance, Union JACK Rock and Capital Dance.

Digital Radio UK, the digital radio trade body, has launched a campaign to coincide with the next stage in the Government’s road map out of lockdown. With a return to outdoor meetings and local travel, the campaign highlights that digital radio provides the perfect accompanying soundtrack to match all occasions with multiple ways to listen.

The new 30 second spots will run across national and local UK commercial radio stations from Monday 29 March to Sunday 25 April 2021 and encourage listeners to join radio’s digital revolution by listening on their smart speaker, smartphone or DAB digital radio.

Union JACK Dance

Dancemasters started life on BRMB in the West Midlands as a Friday and Saturday night show and lasted almost a decade, it is now back available nationally on Union JACK Dance!

The show, which will feature British DJ talent including Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead, Danny Rampling, Brandon Block, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce, marks the 20th anniversary of the show that was popular during its heyday in the early-00s.

Dancemasters will be heard every Friday night from 7-9pm on Union JACK Dance, starting on Good Friday, with repeats at the same time every Saturday (starting Saturday 10 April).
